Chi Nei Tsang
Chi Nei Tsang is a deep, yet gentle & highly transformative massage of the abdomen & internal organs. It promotes the flow of energy, removes stagnation & blockages, addresses pain caused by adhesions, relaxes the tissues, restores emotional balance and supports the self-healing capacity of the body. By improving the circulation of blood & lymphatic fluids the supply of oxygen & nutrition is enhanced, drainage of toxins & waste is stimulated, detoxifying vital organs.
The philosophy behind & the techniques used during a Chi Nei Tsang treatment are based on Taoist principles. An important assumption is that the formation of the physical body starts at the navel, our connection to our mother through the umbilical cord. From this center our physical body further develops after conception.
Basic principle is that when we do not feel optimal, when we experience specific complaints, ailments & problems, the source can always be found in the abdominal area & internal organs. For any approach to be effective, the starting point is here.
As emotions are linked to organs, ‘undigested’ emotions can be released by physically treating the corresponding organ with the techniques of this holistic therapy as well as by the healing sounds & colors that are part of the Chi Nei Tsang practice.
When the abdominal area & internal organs have regained balance, the beneficial effects of restorative energy & healthy blood flow will spread out from this center, throughout the entire body. In consecutive sessions, the treatment will go beyond just the abdomen & internal organs. Gradually this holistic therapy will work its way to other parts of the body. Starting point, however, is always restoring harmony & balance at the source: the navel, abdominal area & internal organs.
